ALMOST the day it will all be worth it!

Today the plumber came by to install a toilet in our upstairs bath. Bascially since we've moved upstairs ( a whole two (count 'em) nights) we have to walk downstairs to use the bathroom! So they installed the toilet in the upstairs bath. Only "problem" is there is no door. In the middle of the night it is no big deal, but during the day, no way!!! Today I got the whammy knocked on me. They have to take the doors out of the hallway to lay the hardwood. That means that our one and only fully functioning bathroom, will now have no door! So now that I finally have more than one "bathroom" (technically all I needed was a toilet!), which is all the girl asked for, I now have two and starting tomorrow, two, with no door. Join me in a yeah....

Hardwood Floors are going in!

Deconstruction of "the Box"

That is what I have affectionly called the room or box we were living in for the last 9 months. This room was so filthy it was embarrasing! But what could I do? Here is what is looked like...

Shut up! This is one of the days (but not THE day) that I have been looking forward to for about 9 months. We bacame the Jefferson's today and "we're movin' on up". Up to the second level that is. The office is now actually the office. The bedroom is now actually the bedroom. The closet is now actually the closet and the kitchen is almost actually a kitchen.... Jack's area & mine....

Aaaah! Just a little elbow room! It echos when we whisper up here. The hardwood floor is layed under the bed and covered in paper to protect it while they continue to work in the house. But we have no bathroom upstairs, at all! We have to go downstairs at night to use the bathroom. As you can guess this is not going to last long.

Kitchen cabinet install starts...

I can't even describe the feeling of seeing our kitchen finally going in. i can't use it yet, but still to see what is coming is just amazing. Take a look

I can't believe how the house is starting to really look like a house, finally! The closet folks showed up to install my new closet! What can I say, the closet is huge and it is fabulous! check it out.....

Boy that sure is a lot of tile you have there. We bought 18x18 travertine for the floor in our master bath and the kitchen and 12x12 travertine for the shower in the master bath and the other shower upstairs.

Convoy!

Breaker, Breaker we got ourselves a Convoy! I had to rent a truck to get the tile we bought home! It was too heavy for any of our trucks. Here I am roundin' the corner at the house before we went to pick it up.
